Student Highlight: Raegen Robb

From research-based UX solutions to crafting intricate crochet patterns, Raegen Robb is always solving problems—whether digital or handmade. As a User Experience Team Graduate Assistant, she thrives on transforming complex challenges into seamless solutions, all while radiating positivity. Since joining the Digital Corps, her contagious enthusiasm has made a lasting impact. As a graduate student in Emerging Media and Digital Design, she not only hones her skills but also shares her knowledge across campus. While Raegen loves to dream big, she’s learned that sometimes the best solution is a simpler one—adapting her ideas to meet stakeholder needs without losing sight of the bigger picture.

“Even if we can’t make our dream product now, it’s a step towards it in the future and it’s what’s best for our client and their users.”

These skills have also allowed her to connect with her coworkers by better understanding their priorities and work styles. Collaborating with students from various disciplines has been an eye-opening experience for Raegen. She appreciates how developers prioritize efficiency, while designers bring a visual flair, and researchers ensure a data-backed approach.

“Two minds are better than one,” she says. These diverse perspectives push her to refine her work style.

Research-based projects are really where Raegen feels at home. She loves looking at case studies to see how other people have solved a problem and gathering as much information as possible. Then she’s able to apply that knowledge to her projects to try to deliver the best possible product for her clients and make it as seamless as possible for the project team.

When she isn’t focused on research, Raegen likes to apply her problem-solving skills in a more creative way through crocheting.

“I love finding new ways to make new patterns and create something that way.”

Raegen also enjoys spending time in nature, specifically horseback riding, reminiscing on the times she spent riding as a child. After graduation, Raegen will be taking on a new role in a new city to expand her professional skills and put her love for research to work.
