Student Highlight: Josh Pavlovsky

Creative problem-solving and a passion for communication highlights the work of Digital Corps project management specialist, Josh Pavlovsky. As a media promotion + management major with minors in hospitality and food management and strategic communication, Josh combines skills from diverse disciplines to tackle challenging projects and develop impactful solutions.

Josh describes himself as intuitive, open-minded, and organized, with an honorary mention of being creative and collaborative. These traits have guided him through some of his most demanding projects, including the POMA website, his first website project at the Corps.“The biggest challenge for me was grasping the development and UX processes to best coordinate and lead the meetings for them,” Josh shared.

Outside of work, Josh has rekindled a past passion for dance. With a background in show choir and musical theatre from middle and high school, he recently joined the dance club at Ball State, ensuring no stone was left unturned in his college experience.

Josh’s favorite projects at the Corps include those involving video production and communication. Whether creating show promos, working on TLZ, or managing social media campaigns, he enjoys leveraging his skill set to bring ideas to life.

“Anything video production or related to communication is my forte,” he noted.

Collaborating with students from various disciplines has had a significant impact on Josh’s work style and perspective.

“It has completely transformed how I view work and life,” he said. “Learning from multiple disciplines has taught me so much about various fields and how to lead them.”

When he’s not in class or at the Corps, Josh spends his days with loved ones, practicing self-care, or enjoying nature. Whether he’s running errands, listening to music, or relaxing at home, he makes time to recharge and reflect. Post-graduation, Josh is excited to take these experiences with him as he continues to explore and grow in his career.
