Each spring students, staff, and alumni gather for a unique celebration of creativity, collaboration, and professional growth. This annual event gives students the opportunity to present their online portfolios and resumes to peers, Digital Corps faculty, and alumni, showcasing the incredible range of work they’ve completed over the year.
“Portfolio Day is a great experience to show off your work not only to your peers but to people who have been in the same places as you at the Corps. It’s a great learning experience,” said Laura Latham, Design Team Master.
She also reflected on her own development: “The Corps has helped me develop my portfolio before my peers, improve upon it each year I’ve been in the Corps, and reflect on where I came from to the level of work I do now.”
The day kicked off with a portfolio gallery, where students shared everything from UX designs and thoughtful video storytelling to compelling writing, animations and development projects. It’s a chance not only to show what they’ve made, but to receive valuable feedback and build connections with those who’ve walked the same path.
Following the showcase, several graduating students took the stage to reflect on their journey.
“Getting the chance to do senior presentations was one of the most fulfilling aspects at the DC,” said Josh Pavlovsky, Project Management Specialist.
“Getting to highlight my experience at the Corps and outside the Corps was a great opportunity to talk about what I’ve learned and how I’ve grown as an individual.”
“It’s so awesome to see the seniors present,” said Latham. “It’s always very heartfelt and makes me feel hopeful for my own future.”
Students also had the opportunity to sit in on team-specific alumni panels where former Digital Corps students answer industry specific questions about their time after graduation. These panels give students insight on life after graduation including the job hunt, expanding your skills, and navigating changing careers.
The day concluded with a keynote conversation featuring Lauren Wineman, a Project Management alum, interviewed by Design Team Lead, Riley Paulsen. Lauren shared her journey from student to professional, offering encouragement and honest advice for the next generation of Digital Corps graduates.
Portfolio Day is more than just a showcase—it’s a meaningful tradition that highlights growth, builds community, and bridges the gap between college and career.
Where Do You Start? There is no question that navigating the workforce is stressful. Before you get the job, there’s that anxious waiting period, countless interviews, and then another anxious waiting period to hear if you were offered a position. Talking about the process of advancement can be taboo in the office, like how to […]
The Digital Corps began shifting towards remote work in early March. As employees adapted to working from home, students of the Corps began to develop project ideas that could be completed remotely. The Digital Corps-antine Diaries, which were developed at the beginning of quarantine, have encouraged Corps employees to pursue creative projects independently throughout this […]

The Digital Corps-antine Diaries were started in the latter half of spring 2020 and have transitioned into a unique opportunity for students to […]
